About my basses

All Clement basses are truly custom basses, they are all built by hand and use various combinations of first-class wood and hardware. Some of them was built based on my own preferences, while others have been based on my customers' wishes. When you look through the bass gallery on this site, you will see that there are plenty of different variations on woods, scale length, hardware and electronics. That's the way I think it should be when it comes to custom basses!

The Clement Ergo Basses

The Ergo basses feature a slim and lightweight body that is optimized for ergonomical comfort. The Ergo basses are characterized by a very slim waiste line and a long upper horn that ensures that the basses balances perfectly on a strap. The Ergo basses can be made with any scale length and with 4, 5 or 6 strings.

The Clement Singlecut Basses

The Singlecut basses feature a deep cutaway and a neck pocket design that allows easy access to the entire neck. This allows the bass to benefit from all the advantages of singlecut designs. The bass balances well both sitting and on a strap. In addition it provides a beautiful and unusual body contour. The Singlecuts are available in a few different body variations, and as 34" and 35" scale lengths with 4, 5 and 6 strings.

The Clement Modern Doublecut Basses

The Moden Doublecut basses feature a slim and elegant body shape that lends itself well to the shorter scale length. The Doublecut can also be available with a longer scale length.

The Clement Classic Basses

The Clement Classic Basses are my take on the classic shapes made popular by Fender. These basses are available with 4 or 5 strings and in both Jazz and Precision variants, and have 24 notes on the neck with the deep cutaway.

The Clement Custom Basses

The custom basses are made with other body shapes than the standard shapes I have in my library. They feature the same Clement neck and are built to the same fine standard as all the others.
