Ultra-fast shipping this time, I've already collected the bass!
It's sitting here in the rack besides me. My wife and I were stunned when we opened the box. This bass is so beautiful, Tom! The Tundra IV is beautiful, too, but this bass is even nicer!! It's an amazing bass! Lightweight, too, so it's a joy to play!
And what does this bass remind me of... Actually, I think it reminds me of a kitten! She starts to murr immediately when I put my hands on her. I will record something later tonight (we're in the middle of Xmas preparations here, so it's a little hectic, but I'll record something later).
Thanks for a great, great bass, Tom! I have a hard time putting her down.... but I have to run to the store and fix the light bulbs on the car. Just wanted to let you know that it arrived safely and that you've made me really, really happy again!!! :-)
All the best from the Tundras and me,
Jon

Picked up the bass last night after work. She made it just fine. It's beautiful! It feels like silk and playing it, well, as far as I can play it, it's so smooth! I got the chance to hook it up to a $4000 Hartke bass rig: HUGE sound. All in all it's quite a masterpiece! I can't thank you enough for this work of art. I'm sure glad I didn't buy a stock bass from the local music store.
Thanks again,
Michael

Hello Mr Clement
My name is David and my father bought me number 74 of your range for a late 21st/christmas present recently. It arrived yesterday and myself and my brother went over to have a look at it and play it. It is astonishing. Ive never owned a fretless bass before as ive never found one that i thoght suited me but when i took 74 out of the case it felt like id been playing it for years from the start. The shape and craft of it is incredible and the horn/ cut away design is one of my favourites.
The bass sounds amazing through my amp by the way, finally got to play it on christmas day and hav'nt really stopped since. Ill get he sound clip to you as soon as possible but im still trying to get the fingering down as its quite a leap from fretted to fretless so it may be a wee while if thats ok.

I did stop and pick up a set of strings and have restrung her E to C and she's a champ. Really a much richer color than in the preview pics and the workmanship seems really solid. More as it develops but so far it's got a sound that I really like and feels really good. I was a little afraid that since you're such a fretless kind of guy this might have too mellow a sound to it for my proggy aspirations, but that is absolutely not the case-it's got a nice high end mix with the bassier side. It's now in the stand next to the amp in first position.
Thanks so much!
Scott

hey,
i don't know if i emailed you already. i took the bass to the music shop where my buddies work and they all absolutely loved it. especially the neck. even the metal guy who was like "psh, fretless" after i let him play it through the Eden cab and head was like "Oh My God!! I love this thing!!" i know one of them wants to get a fretless (all he has now is his Music Man StingRay 5) but he can't afford it now. and another guy wants one but he can't afford it either. i told him he should just start stocking up on parts :D (since he works at a music store, lol) they all also loved the tone. to me its got the perfect fretless tone. i can get it nice and basses, but still have the fretless vibe for slower stuff, and still get the growl for the more aggresive solo stuff :D its surprisingly easy to play too. i have a lined fretless jazz bass and i am glad this one is an unlined. i like that i can focus more on the notes instead of worrying about the lines. and it stays in tune forever! I think i had to adjust the tuning once, and that'd because it was in a car and probably brushed up against something. i'm trying to learn Jaco's arrangement of "Donna Lee" but man is it a bitch :D i'm more of a slap and tap guy in general so this fretless was just what i needed. all in all i'm extremely please with this bass and expect to get another order from me sometime in the future!

She is here, and is even more beautiful in person than in pictures! Tom, I really can't say this enough, but this was an extraordinary experience! This is a tremendous instrument and I am looking forward to getting to know it. It plays beautifully... the action is just right for me. This is one of the best things that I have ever done for myself, and I thank you for helping me realize it. For my next, which is going to be a ways off, I was thinking of the body on #48. 4-string, maybe Nordstrands in it. Maybe passive, but I'm not sure. I like the burl on #48 as well. Pretty straight-forward. Although, the idea of the alto bass is intriguing as well. Anyway, I've got my work cut out for me with this new girl. I will send along some sounds when I get going on that stuff.
Stay well,
Sumner.

Hi!!!
I've collected the Tundra bass, and I have just managed to put her down beside me for a couple of minutes to send you an overview of my initial reactions! :-) First of all, I was a little terrified when I saw the box, as it was completely battered! So I was a little anxious when I got home to see that everything was ok. And it was, thanks to all the bubble wrap you had stuffed inside the box! The bass was completely unharmed. :-)

Hi Tom,
I received the bass yesterday, and it is a very fine instrument. Great value for the price. I like the set up, and I dig the black hardware. The neck and fretboard are sweet. I have a few high end instruments (Sadowskys), and this compares pretty well to my others. This will see much playing time on the gigs & in the studio. Check out my band, CD, pics, etc. at www.theknobsband.net. Thanks.
Take care.
Steve

OK It's here!!! It's heavier and thicker than I thought but it sounds amazing!!! The frets are great too; you did a killer job on them. The neck’s nice and thin. I love the tone it's exactly what I was going for. I'm gonna have my buddy do a quick set up on it. It's a little fretty but I'm sure it's from sitting in the back of a hot UPS truck for the last week..lol.. Anyway good job Tom I'm digging it..And as soon as my girl's landlord leaves I'm gonna play it some more. Only a lot louder...Ha-ha!!
Thanks again,
Kelly
