Howdy Tom!

I thought I would let you know that the pictures of this bass on the internet....DO IT ZERO JUSTICE!!!  What a killer axe!  It makes me think long and hard about taking bass lessons!!  Your work is impressive and I just love it.  The CD with the making of it was the perfect added touch.  I am thrilled and honored to own this beauty.  I pray that people who count will discover your work and that you prosper greatly from your talents.  Don't be surprised if I pick up another one from you sometime in the future.  I love your choices in the exotic woods that you use. I love exotic woods.  You're the best!

Happy Holidays to you and yours!  Sincerely,
Sara

Tom,

WOW!!! I got the bass yesterday afternoon at work.  Before I even got it home, I couldn't believe how light the box was.  It almost felt like there was nothing in there, haha.  ;)  When I got it home and opened the box, the first thing I thought was that the bass looked even better in person than it did in the pictures. It's very cute!

Hi Tom,
You can relax now! I picked up the bass at my post office today. It’s in one piece, looks really nice, plays even better and as far as my knowledge goes, well built. I’ve played it now for a couple of hours and it’s everything I expected from it. Nice too with the photos from the process of building it.

Tom! Thank you for a wonderful bass.

Kind regards
Rolf

I got the bass today and it has to be one of the best instruments I've ever played! I'm can't really describe how great it is. I can definitely say that as soon as I have the cash I will be getting started on another project with you.

Hi Tom,
I got the guitar late yesterday and checked her out.  The work you did is great but the MM neck is a joke.  I have two other MM necks and believe it or not, they are awesome.  They must have had the frets levelled and dressed before I got them.  This one is so bad I can actually see with the naked eye the high and low frets.  It's funny because you had suggested using a Warmoth neck in one of our first emails.  Okay, okay.... I should have listened.   I'll never use MM again.  Lesson learned.

The guitar has potential.  It sounds great until you hit one of the many dead spots on the fingerboard.  I don't think I am even going to bother getting the frets leveled on this neck.  I think I'll just repIace it. Again, I just wanted to thank you for your work.  The action, intonation and finish were all just fine.

I got got it today and it's awesome man. It's light, plays, sounds and looks great. I've got to go get a case headed for the music store now. Thanks for all you've done and getting me a killer bass. Have a great weekend. I'll be in touch.

Got it today.

Odd how the pictures do not do it justice.  Aside from being a wonderful bass...  It is just a beautiful piece of work.  I also love the feel of the smaller body on it.  Tom, this has totally exceeded my expectations and I can't thank you enough.  I have a feeling that we have the same sort of touch on the fretboard as the action is precisely the way I like mine set up.  It's so incredibly low that it feels effortless.  I'll e-mail ya again in a couple days when I see the sun again, I'm going to seclude myself and bond with it for a couple of days.

Thanks again.
Tony

You are a great artist! This instrument is so beautiful. Not only is it a musical instrument but it is also a work of art. I can't believe you sell your instruments at such reasonable prices but I am so glad you did or I wouldn't have become an owner. I will recommend you to all my musician friends and do my best to send you more business. As your work becomes known, people will pay you dearly and your work will be your heritage and their delight.

Success always,
Wanda

Hey Tom how it going.

I just opened the package and you did an awesome job.The bass is just amazing. The pictures don’t do the bass justice. It everything I wanted it to be, and more. If you ever need to "make a sale" Let me know. I know about 25 bass players who would love to have a TCC (Tom Clement Custom) bass in there arsenal. But first you have to make me a fretted five string and another fretless four :0)

Tom, my friend...

You have a new fan in Texas!! The finish is beautiful, the action is right on, and the intonation was almost perfect. Just a tiny bit of tweaking (I suspect the shipping climate had a lot to do with it), and it sounds ball-busting dynamite! No kidding!! I tried out some of the chops from Paul Simon's "Call Me Al" (I'm sure you know that tune).. it was kicking.

4 a.m...I just got in from the gig. I played that devil the entire night! All the guys in the band were blown away by the bass. I flubbed a few times...it was weird going from 6-string to 5-string, let alone going fretless! But, it all turned out pretty good.
