Hi Tom,

Bass arrived in great shape. Awesome. My wife & daughter both commented on its very handsome look and color.

I adjusted the strings up higher (personal preference) and may lower the pickups a tad. It sounds super. Love that fretless sound. My 12-year old daughter plays piano/vocals and been dabbling with my old neckthru Ibanez. She picked this mahogany baby up and played a few bass lines, noting how nice & light it is. It really is quite light - excellent work on the woodmanship and all. The neck is nice and thin (I have small hands, so this is a blessing).

Boy, when I compare with those two Warwicks here in the Atlanta shops - (heavy, unbalanced, thick necks), I'm sure glad I didn’t' get one of those. This is much better than those and only 44% of the price tag.

Received bass in excellent condition, shipment was exact to UPS schedule. Instrument is everything promised and more. I'm extremely pleased with the workmanship and choice of tone woods. This bass plays as nice if not nicer as any Fender I've ever played. The Musicman style 3 and 1 headstock is an excellent added touch. Rocko says "This is a 5 star instrument in all categories". Thank you so much,Tom.

From Rocko in Massachusetts.

Tom,

Today I showed off your bass to the folks in my local guitar store (The one who sold me the pickup) and the owner and a salesman (Bass player) could not stop praising the bass. The salesman played it and he was deeply impressed with the action and how smooth the bass played. As am I BTW :-). Ken (The owner) liked the looks of the bass as well. I was trying to get out of the store, but it took me a while to get him off the bass. My wife got a little PO'd, but she's a sweetheart and she let us have our fun..... Anyway, just a quickie message to let you know that the bass is being used and shown off.

Have a nice rest of the weekend

Ahoy Tom,

Thank you for the beautiful instrument. I've been playing it all afternoon since it arrived. It sounds right with my old Univox and Altec 421. Best of all, my wife let me pick this out for Christmas and she likes it, too. We're both musicians, met in band back in college.

Hi Tom, Received Bass today, cool little bass.Like it a lot, Nice bass for Blues, or playing with acoustic guitars. Nice upright sound.

“I received the bass & it was undamaged. Thank you for the beautiful instrument!! I have played it for over an hour already this evening.”

Got it! It's awesome. Just as you described. Sounds great.Thanks........

That was my comment before I jammed with my band last night. After the session, I am even more stoked! I feel like I got the deal of the Century! The base is a real "WOW" instrument. I mean, the guys check it out and go "wow", "How much did you pay for this"?!! Once I got my Ampeg dialed, and the pickups dialed, the bass was a growling tiger! Plays EASY, - even without frets!! and that sound.. oh man.

I can't thank you enough.. I really appreciate the "good guy" deal too. that wasn't a lot of money, but it was at the top of my budget. I am going to put your name on it though.. and a logo of some kind.. I have a vinyl graphics cutter. I'll send you pics when I get it done. Maybe I'll call it the LARK GROWLER TOM CLEMENT CUSTOM!! something like that..

You're the Man!
